Outcomes

  • Turned scattered ambition into a clear strategic plan: mapped speaking, podcasting, documentary filmmaking and workplace offerings into one phased, sequenced strategy — rather than trying to launch everything at once.

  • Built a stable financial foundation for creative risk-taking: anchored steady, predictable income alongside his creative pursuits, creating the spaciousness to pursue ambitious, higher-risk work without financial pressure driving every decision.

  • Approached a major partnership negotiation with real agency: went into a significant platform/partnership deal with a clear, thorough list of ownership, rights and data questions — protecting his creative and financial interests rather than accepting terms passively.

  • Befriended his own internal protector: through parts-based inner work, built a felt sense of safety with the part of himself that had long guarded against risk and vulnerability, moving it from opposition to partnership.

  • Rebuilt trust in the source of his identity: worked through a period of real fear connected to the practice and place that had always grounded him, moving back toward the deep trust that had defined his relationship to it for most of his life.

  • Found the confidence to speak and share authentically: moved from a strong-but-fluctuating creative process into a steadier, more grounded public voice.

"You have allowed me a fun, productive and safe place to let feeling and vision coexist. It has allowed me to peer behind the curtain and realise what I am capable of — and that so many of the things holding me back were actually not real."

The Storyteller

A former elite athlete whose identity and public reputation had been built on a lifetime of high performance, now in the midst of a significant reinvention — building a second career as a public speaker, podcast host and documentary filmmaker, drawing on his own lived experience and trauma-informed practices to create work that helps others.

The Crossroads

He arrived at the edge of what he described as a personal-meets-professional journey — one he wanted to document in real time — sensing real opportunity in it, but also real fear. He wanted accountability and structure to move through it consciously, rather than letting it happen to him.

"This year, I feared it, but I know it's only temporary."

At the outset, he named:

  • A creative process that felt strong but fluctuating — powerful in flow, "somewhat non-existent" when caught in his head

  • Several creative projects (speaking, a podcast, a documentary) with real energy behind them but no clear structure connecting them

  • A newly complicated relationship to the practice and place that had always grounded his sense of self

  • A desire to unlock parts of himself he sensed were there, but couldn't reach alone

Our Work Together

An extended partnership spanning over a year, combining parts-based inner work, breathwork and embodiment practice, and hands-on creative and business strategy — building a phased plan across multiple projects while protecting space for rest, grounding and personal practice throughout.

Key Shifts

1. From scattered ambition to strategic structure Multiple live creative threads — speaking, podcasting, documentary work, workplace offerings — were mapped into a single phased strategy with a steady income base beneath it, protecting his energy and allowing each initiative room to develop rather than competing for attention all at once.

2. From self-protection to self-partnership Deep parts work identified a long-standing protector, formed early and fiercely guarding against risk. Rather than fight this part, the work built a new relationship with it — arriving, in his words, at "I've got you."

3. From passive acceptance to informed agency Facing a significant partnership negotiation, he went in equipped with a clear, considered list of questions about ownership, rights and data — approaching a high-stakes business relationship from clarity and agency rather than accepting terms on faith.

4. From fear back to trust A lifelong, unshakeable relationship to the practice and place that had shaped him became, this year, something he feared for the first time. Through the work, he began moving back toward the trust that had always defined it — recognising the fear as temporary, not a rupture.

Where He Is Now

Actively building his speaking, podcast and documentary work as one coherent creative direction, financially grounded by steady, sustainable income, and reporting real personal growth alongside the professional structure.

"You showed me how to expand my thinking, how to capitalise on a moment, and to think both critically and simply at the same time... you blew my head right off helping me clear blockages and past traumas with skills I didn't see coming."
